Mission
The mission of the Counseling Program at Mary Williams Elementary is to provide a proactive, multicultural, and comprehensive school counseling program. As school counselors we are professional advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement focusing on academic, personal/social, and career development. We work to foster a supportive, caring and nurturing environment, so that all children achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.

Beliefs and Philosophy
The counselors at Mary Williams Elementary believe all students:

  • Have dignity and worth and should be treated respectfully
  • Should have an opportunity to achieve academic success regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, physical abilities, religious views, or socioeconomic status.
  • Can achieve personal/social, academic, and career success given the proper support

  • Should have access to full-time, state-certified, master’s-degree-level school counselor to deliver the counseling program
  • Have the right to participate in the counseling program

We as school counselors at Mary Williams Elementary will:
